Marissa Holden, LMT, NCTMB
Theraputic Massage Specialist
Massage is a time honored tradition which dates back thousands of years. Its evidence can be found in ancient historical documents and traditions scattered from China to the native people of the Americas.
This rich history shows that the use of hands on healing has evolved over many thousands of years and is still being handed down from generation to generation.
Thanks to modern scientific research, the world is beginning to understand how and why massage therapy works. I believe that massage goes beyond rubbing a lubricant on the skin and soothing sore muscles - it is connected with healing the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
I am a highly trained massage therapist, continually seeking the most up-to-date information on many different styles of body work including Swedish and deep tissue massage, connective tissue work, Trigger Point therapy, tissue injury repair, Pre and Post-Natal Massage, LaStone Therapy and Thai Yoga Massage.
The process begins with you completing a personal health history form. Next we will discuss your treatment goals, such as relaxation massage or chronic pain relief. Together we will decide what forms of bodywork will work best for you.
